This training course is based on the compliance requirements placed on Trainer Courses Ltd by the Health & Safety at Work (Etc.) Act of 1974; Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations; and the competence/requirements placed on healthcare employers by industry standards. These requirements have been used as our reference points for this training course
Apart from ensuring compliance with the above, the training course is useful in assisting Health & Social Care Diploma candidates with the various elements of their learning.
Please note: Trainers need to be conversant with the infection control policies and procedures of the organisation where the training is taking place and describe these to participants. Also informing participants how they can obtain information about infection prevention and control within the organisation. Therefore, policies and procedures need to be sent to Tehy Trainers at least one week prior to the course starting.
The course is aligned to the learning outcomes for both level 1 (All Staff) and Level 2 (Clinical Staff) of the Skills for Health Core Skills Training Framework (CSTF).
Target Population: All staff who may be involved in infection control in the course of their duties (everyone).
Course Duration: Theory = 3 Hours (Level 1) or 4 to 5 Hours (Level 2)
Certification: Upon successful completion of the session questionnaire.
Number of Participants: 12 Maximum.
