This training course is based on the compliance requirements placed on Trainer Courses Ltd by the Medicines Act, Health & Safety at Work (Etc.) Act 1974, Access to Health Records Act, The Human Medicines Regulations and Misuse of Drugs Act. It is also based on guidelines produced on the Administration & Control of Medicines in Care Homes & Children Services and guidelines from the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain. The requirements placed on the company by the above requirements, CQC standards and those of other regulatory bodies have been used as reference points for this training course.
Apart from ensuring compliance with the above, the trainer pack is useful in assisting Health & Social Care Diploma candidates with the various elements of their learning.
Please note: The policies/procedures of the recipient organisation, including competency Assessments and Medication Audits, where training is delivered must be received by Tehy Home Care Trainers at least 1 week prior to the course start date.
Target Population: All staff that may be called upon to administer medication in the course of their duties.
Course Duration: Theory = 3 Hours (Level1). 4 to 5 Hours (Level 2).
Certification: Upon successful completion of the session questionnaire.
Number of Participants: 12 Maximum.
