This training course is based on the compliance requirements placed on Trainer Courses Ltd and has been developed for delivery at Level 1 in line with the competency requirements as set out in “Safeguarding Children and Young people: roles and competencies of health care staff.” (Intercollegiate Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health 2014) and therefore is fully compliant with Care Certificate Standard 11 for Health Care Workers. The course also complies with National Occupational Standard SCDHSC0034 Promote the safeguarding of children and young people.

Confidentiality, Data Protection,
Whistleblowing, Safeguarding, Code of Conduct, Gaining Consent policies and
procedures.
Target Population: All staff who may require Children & Young People Safeguarding Training.
Course Duration: Theory = 3 Hours.
Certification: Upon successful completion of the session questionnaire.
Number of Participants: 12 Maximum.
