Supported Living

People with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities have the right to access assistance and supports to live a valued life in the community. They also have the ability to contribute to their respective communities if given the opportunity.

What we offer

We stand by this belief by offering specific, personalized services to people with all types of disabilities, so that everyone may live in their own homes and be active community members. Support is specific to each individual’s needs, interests, and desires. Support is provided in whatever intensity, duration and frequency required. Supported Living Services are offered for as long and as often as needed, with the flexibility required to meet a persons’ changing needs over time.

How it works

Tehy Care supports individuals with a wide range of support needs – from a few hours per week to many hours per day. The individual and the support team work together to create a customized vision of support that suits their needs and wishes. We then assist the individual to find support staff that work well in their life and provide basic personal support services that include, but are not limited to:

  • Support with meals, hygiene, and mobility
  • Budgeting and bill paying
  • Getting to and from daily errands
  • Coordinating medical care
  • Meeting personal goals and reaching for their dreams

Encouraging Personal Choices, self-directed living

These services are preferred mostly by people who would opt to not live in a residential home; it is also seen as a much more flexible option. They are able to live in a home of their own while the caregivers/staff provide them with the best support and meet their needs accordingly. Having their own tenancy aids in their independence while also benefiting from a skilled staff’s support whenever they need it.

  • Down syndrome
  • Epilepsy
  • Autism
  • Diabetes
